October Fèis Week 2022
10 to 14 October 2022, 10.15am till 3.30pm

OCTOBER FÈIS WEEK is back in full capacity for this year's 30th ANNIVERSARY of Fèis Spè.
Main Fèis for P4-P7 and Fèis Bheag for P1-P3, plus Fèis Groupwork for P6-S3 for intermediate to advanced players and for those who may be interested in joining the Fèis Spè Band.
TUTOR'S CONCERT, Thursday 13th October, 7pm @ Aviemore Community Hall
In honour of all those who have contributed to Fèis Spè over the years and who have kept it going
This event will be open to families, friends, other supporters and the general public and will be a great evening’s entertainment from some of the country’s leading traditional musicians.
Entry to this event will be by DONATION
Come and join us for a great evening!
We will be holding a RAFFLE to help raise funds to subsidise Fèis Spè activities and welcome donations of prizes – these can be handed in at registration or brought along on the night.
The END OF FÈIS CONCERT will take place in the Hall at 2.30pm on Friday 16th October; please come along and enjoy the results of the week’s work and collect your young musician(s), along with all their belongings.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED To help spread the load – there are lots of small jobs, we’d be really grateful if you are able to help us out for one or two sessions during the week. If you are able to help please email feisspe@feisean.org and let us know which days / times you would be available.

Fèis Bheag P1-P3 will be led by Sandra Mackay, Monica Neeling and Mairi Brown
Fèis Groupwork P6-S3 will be led by Charlie McKerron & Mairi Buxton, for children who are intermediate to advanced players and for those who may want to join the Fèis Spè Band

What to bring to Fèis week:
• Indoor shoes
• Packed lunch and water bottle
• Sports kit
• Waterproof jacket
• Any personal medication, clearly marked with name, instructions, and a note of explanation for Fèis Spè organisers
• Snacks for afternoon break
Baking – Fèis Spè has a reputation for providing excellent cakes for the tutors – they say that’s why they keep coming back!! If you would like to make a contribution to the week’s baking, it would be much appreciated.
