Emma started playing the clarsach at 9 years old, taught by Vicki Ferguson.  At the academy in Tain, she was a member of the Trad music group Gizzen Briggs which travelled to the USA. Emma competed regularly in the National MOD winning in both solo and ensemble clarsach competitions. After studying ‘Music and the Creative Arts’ at university, she worked and travelled round the world with a tiny clarsach.  Since returning to the Highlands, she has taught for Feis Rois, the Clarsach Society and played at Belladrum and many weddings.  She was delighted to join Feis Spe in January 2020 after moving to the Strath.
