Charlie McKerron

Talented fiddler Charlie McKerron is not only a member of Scots supergroup Capercaillie, but he's an award-winning performer in his own right, with his own band, fiddle group Session A9. He is also an accomplished composer and his music has been widely recorded. He has contributed to the film “Rob Roy”,  “Four Men and a Malt” and “Gruth is Uachdar” (Crowdie and Cream) which he co-wrote with Donald Shaw... for which they received 2 RTS awards. Charlie also co-produced the album “Big Sky” which involved some of Scotland’s top contemporary Celtic musicians.

Charlie has over these last years taken to the stage with a variety of celebrated musicians including Marc Clements, Ross Ainslie, Tim Edey, the  Finlay MacDonald Band, Maggie MacInnes and has been involved in projects with Kevin MacKenzie and Aidan O’Rourke.
